Have you encounter a broken bolt in a deep hole and want to remove it yourself.
Removing a broken bolt is both hard and tricky at the same time, especially if you don't use the right tool. For us to remove it efficiently I will list the tools you should prepare before starting the job.
List of Tools.
1: A Penetrating Oil (WD40)
2: Center Punch
3: Hammer
4: Left Hand Drill Bit
5: A Drill
6: Screw/stud Extractor (easy out)
7: Wire brush
Steps to Remove Broken Bolts on Deep hole.
1: First apply penetrating oil by spraying WD40 and let it soak for 10 - 15 mins make sure to spray it again every 5mins.
2: Use the center punch and hammer and make a pinhole in the center of the bolt to guide our drill machine. like in the illustration below.
3: Use a left-hand drill bit and a drill machine and slowly drill a pilot hole to guide our bolt extractor.
4: Use a Screw/Stud Extractor to remove the broken bolt.
5: lastly after you remove the bolt clean the thread by using WD40 and clean the hole to remove metal particles use a wire brush.
